Could someone please explain to me what is a multiplexer and what is the purpose of one.
Solution
In short, a multiplexer is a device that combines several electrical circuits into one channel. This reduces
the number of cabling needed to transmit information from one end to the other. This is done by varying the physical
characteristics such as frequency, amplitude, or timing of the signals to prevent them from interfering with each other.
