Solution
A modem is an acronym for Modulator/Demodulator. Most modems convert digital signals to analog signals and vice
versa. A modulator is a device that converts a voice or data signal into a form that can be transmitted. A demodulator
retrieves the electrical signal and converts it back to voice or data.
