Problem
I have been looking at the 2150-10/100A Media Converter and would like some more information. Could you confirm whether the auto-sensing switch works on the Fiber side or the Copper side,
or indeed both.
Solution
The 2150-10/100A does auto negotiate on both sides. Initially, the wire side is set to match the equipment it is connected to, then the fiber side negotiates with the other
end. Once all speeds are set, the link is activated. This takes place almost instantaneously.
