Problem
Will the model 9308 and 9304 fiber muxes work correctly with the new IBM Model 270 AS/400?
Solution
Model 9304 and Model 9308 will work with the IBM Model 270 AS/400 server. However, the 9308 mux is not recommended as IBM has split its controller into two 4 channels. The 9304 or 9308 muxes can only be connected to one controller card from the IBM AS/400 server. Thus, if the 9308 mux is selected, 4 ports cannot be used.
