Problem
I was looking at your TTL to fiber devices (2817-T/R and 2856) and would like to know the propagation delay for each convertor unit.
Solution
The 2817 pair propagation delay is about 65nsec and the 2856 pair propagation delay is about 85nsec however these delays are not specified or tested. In addition, there is 5nsec / meter propagation delay due to the fiber.
