of two new fiber optic media converters.
Model 2550 – 10 MBPS Twisted Pair to Fiber Ethernet Mini Bit-Driver®
Model 2150 – 100 MBPS Twisted Pair to Fiber Fast Ethernet Mini Bit-Driver®
Both 2550 and 2150 meet and exceed the Ethernet specifications for distance limitations of a few hundred feet.
Both media converters can be used up to 2KM using duplex fiber optic cable. Both units have 850nm and 1300nm options
as well as multimode and singlemode fiber options. Units come standard with ST fiber optic interfaces and RJ45
twisted pair interfaces.
Mini Bit-Drivers® require external power supplies – standard 12 Volt DC. Media converters can be used point
to point or in an Ethernet network between servers, hubs, switches and other equipment.
